Family First Participates in Annual Health Fair at Huntington Senior Center
Huntington Senior Center hosted an annual health fair for its members to learn about community resources and programming.

Family First was invited to participate this year and offer information on family caregiving, companion services, and answer any questions about home care. The event offered health screenings, lunch, beneficial information, and an opportunity for the aging community to come together and learn about tools to assist with healthy aging. Thank you, Huntington Senior Center, for putting together a beautiful event! A special thanks to Holli and Keri for ensuring that the day went smoothly for all participants!

Jennifer has specialized training in Alzheimer’s disease through the Long Island Alzheimer’s Association and the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation.She also volunteered her time with the Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center of Long Island for 3 years by providing cognitive stimulation to an Alzheimer’s patient group.
Jennifer educates the community about elder care and speaks to caregiver support groups, senior centers, and at professional organizations.Topics include home safety, effective strategies for family caregiving, elder care planning, and awareness about elder abuse.
