NIH's Tips on Aging at Home

The National Institute on Aging provides tips on aging at home.  Some of those tips include the kinds of help available:

1. Personal Care.
2. Homemaking.
3. Meals.
4. Money Management.
5. Health Care.
6. Home medical equipment.
7. Volunteer escort services.
8. Activities programs.
9. Emergency response systems.
10. Day care programs.
11. Senior housing.
12. Community and government offices.
13. Geriatric care managers.
14. Online resources.

I think this is a very good list.  It encompasses all aspects of the senior care profession.  One thing it is missing though is financial aid programs such as reverse mortgages and the veterans aid and attendance.  It does mention a great website called Benefits Checkup (www.benefitscheckup.org) which allows you to type in general information about yourself so that you can get a list of the possible benefits that you might qualify for.  Stay tuned for details about the Veterans Aid and Attendance Program.
